Secondary Transition Programs

Planning for the transition to post-secondary life is central to secondary programming.
KCSD provides meaningful, relevant and personalized opportunities for learners to explore their vision for a multitude of pathways after graduation.Transition planning opportunities occur through engaging student-centered classrooms and school activities, and through partnerships with community businesses, organizations, and training centers.
Transition planning is the cornerstone of helping individuals navigate the shift from school to adulthood.
Transition planning is a holistic process involving mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual elements of an individual.

Balancing mental, emotional, physical and spiritual elements is needed as we navigate daily life and plan for the future. Successful transition planning also recognizes the interconnectedness of an individual to their family, friends and communities.
